Job Description
We are seeking a Director to join our dynamic team in Philadelphia, servicing the Northeast region (Boston, Philly, New York, etc.) providing support across a wide range of projects and industries, with a primary focus on distressed real estate projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in a variety of tasks, ranging from mid-level responsibilities to higher-level strategic initiatives and business development opportunities within our firm. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding or quick ability to grasp our work, with a background in real estate operations or finance, and have contacts in the related fields. Up to 60% of the role may involve on-site management of properties, requiring hands-on operational oversight.
Our clients often find themselves in situations of distress that require expert advice swiftly. These situations, whether they present as a crisis or an opportunity, may necessitate restructuring, workout, turnaround, or even wind-down strategies. During these critical times, our clients look to us to provide a steady hand for the best outcome. The position is hybrid and may require office meetings in addition to client on-site travel.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
7-10 years of experience in Audit, Big 4 Accounting, Banking, Finance and/or distressed asset consulting or restructuring, or related fields.
A degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting is preferred. A Master's or specialty in Real Estate is a plus.
Deep understanding of financial modeling, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Highly organized, dynamic and possess the ability to pivot and shift focus without losing deadlines or priorities.
A willingness to travel, up to 60%, as required by client service needs.
Experience in corporate finance, banking, consulting or accounting preferred
CPA, CFA, CTP, and CIRA are a plus
Should be motivated, demonstrate a high degree of energy, and be a self-starter; someone who is enthusiastic, proactive, and who takes initiative to get the job done and can work on a flexible schedule across a national team
Must have the ability to multitask, often in a time-pressure, urgent environment
Excellent financial, analytical, and interpersonal skills. Excellent project management skills and proven capabilities to support project teams
Ability to independently develop and write superior quality work product with limited oversight
Ability to work both independently, as well as a team member
Physical and Mental Job Qualifications
Must be able to sit for long period of time
Must be comfortable to work in a remote and/or hybrid environment
Must be flexible to work outside of the 8:30am
5:30pm business hours if needed
Must be flexible to travel

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $140,000 - $180,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
