The CBS Weekend News seeks a skilled Broadcast Associate with a passion for current events who thrives in a breaking news, dynamic, deadline-driven newsroom! Responsibilities: BAs will train to learn day-of package producing skills; how to gather, coordinate editorial and own all aspects of a day-of news piece. Assist the senior producer with all aspects of production – from daily newsgathering, to coordinating graphics, to producing reports and stories. Pitch relevant, timely, and compelling ideas for day-of and future stories. Quality check all video content.
Qualifications: You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant work experience. You can work under deadline pressure. You are willing to work in our New York Broadcast Center, from 10am-7pm, Wednesday-Sunday. You can work holidays and additional hours with little or no notice. You are legally authorized to work in the United States. Desired Characteristics: You've got strong interpersonal skills. You're an enthusiastic learner with solid visual sensibility. You can multi-task and prioritize assignments.

Hiring Salary Range: $45,000.00 - 50,000.00. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
