Overview
As Editorial Director, you are the architect of Raptive’s editorial ecosystem—leading the evolution and execution of our editorial voice and brand storytelling across our owned channels. You are responsible for ideating and creating high-quality content that informs, educates, and inspires our audiences—including top creators and publishers within our network, enterprise partners, and prospects we aim to reach.

Reporting to the VP, Content Marketing, you oversee the planning, creation, and optimization of editorial content across the Blog, Resource Center, newsletters, and other key content initiatives. You translate business priorities, industry shifts, and creator and publisher needs into clear, engaging narratives that build brand authority, strengthen relationships, and reinforce our position as a trusted market leader.

You are a strong editorial leader, with a sharp instinct for what makes content meaningful, useful, and impactful. You play a central role in connecting ideas and partnering with teams across the organization to shape a unified voice and direction—ensuring our messaging is not only consistent, but influential.

What you do
Shape Raptive’s brand narrative

Define and elevate how Raptive shows up to audiences across owned channels through high-quality storytelling

Turn complex or ambiguous ideas into clear, compelling stories

Identify and elevate high-impact stories aligned with company priorities

Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and messaging across all content

Lead the editorial ecosystem

Oversee the content strategy, execution, and optimization of the Blog, Resource Center, and Help Center

Develop and manage the editorial calendar aligned to business priorities and audience needs

Lead content development for newsletters and other email series

Leverage AI as a tool to improve content creation efficiency across all channels

Contribute to content programming for live events, including narrative development, communication, presentations, and post-event recaps that reinforce Raptive’s brand positioning and deepen relationships

Identify opportunities for video content, including webinars and multi-channel adaptations

Ensure content is actionable, insightful, and valuable to creators and publishers

Apply performance insights and SEO best practices to improve reach and engagement

Partner cross-functionally

Collaborate with the Director, Revenue Marketing to align brand storytelling with campaign strategy and goals

Partner with teams across marketing, product, audience growth, and leadership to surface insights that shape content messaging

Act as a strategic connector and collaborative partner to ensure messaging consistency across channels

Manage and develop team talent

Manage and mentor the Content Manager, providing clear direction, feedback, and growth opportunities

Ensure high-quality execution across all editorial initiatives

Improve editorial processes and workflows over time

To excel in this role, you

Have sharp editorial judgment—you know what matters, what doesn’t, and how to shape content with a clear point of view

Think like both an editor and a business partner, connecting content decisions to broader company goals

Are comfortable working with and advising executive stakeholders, translating ideas into clear, effective narratives

Bring clarity to ambiguity and turn loose ideas into structured, compelling content

Write and edit with precision, consistency, and a strong, confident voice

Maintain high standards for quality while operating at a fast pace

Prioritize effectively across multiple initiatives, focusing on highest-impact work

Use data and insights to inform decisions without losing creative instinct

Are naturally curious and engaged with the creator economy and digital publishing landscape

Collaborate effectively across teams, building trust and alignment

The skills and experience you’ll bring to this role

8+ years of experience in editorial, content, or media roles, with experience managing multi-channel editorial programs

Exceptional storytelling ability and strong editorial instincts, with a clear sense of what makes content compelling and credible

Experience leading content execution across channels such as websites/blogs, newsletters, and educational content

Ability to connect content work to business goals, with an understanding of how content supports engagement, retention, and growth

Ability to balance planning and execution, ensuring high-quality output

Experience working cross-functionally and collaborating with senior stakeholders

Strong leadership and people management skills in a collaborative, remote environment

Clear and effective communication skills across formats and audiences

Proven organizational and project management skills

Comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Strong interest in the creator economy and digital publishing landscape

The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. The range provided is Raptive’s reasonable estimate of the annualized base compensation for this role. The actual amount may be higher or lower, based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, geographic location, knowledge, skills and abilities. This role is eligible for additional incentive compensation that isn’t included in the posted range.
