*This position is 100% in-office in downtown Palm Harbor, FL.

Overall objectives: The primary role of the Social Media Specialist is to lead our social team in all things related to social media marketing on behalf of our clients and agency. This position is responsible for organic and paid social media.

Responsibilities

Meet with account executives to discuss goals, expectations, timelines, and to recommend and/or propose campaign strategies

Conduct ongoing market research to enhance targeting strategies and to make better recommendations to enhance agency offerings

Manage each client’s campaigns to verify performance and to make adjustments as necessary

Build and execute organic and paid social media strategies through research, benchmarking, messaging, and audience identification

Generate, edit, publish, and share content daily (original text, images, video, etc.)

Write, develop, and strategize online content production and scheduling, including video scripts and organic content

Troubleshoot problems as they arise with items such as dynamic feeds, calendar connections (Google Calendars), client questions, etc.

Assist with crisis management, bad reviews, and negative news communications

Create and maintain company social media pages and profiles

Research the latest trends regarding conversion and optimization strategies to produce better ROI for clients

Track and analyze analytics reports to gain insight on traffic, demographics, and effectiveness; utilize this information to positively affect future outcomes

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or related field

2+ years experience in social media advertising

1+ year experience creating organic social media

Strong familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)

Understanding of social media metrics; able to interpret the results and take action to increase effectiveness of social media campaigns

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Critical thinking and problem solving skills

Team player

Ability to effectively collaborate with different people and work styles

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Experience with the following is required

Sprout Social and/or other social media scheduling tools

Salary commensurate with experience.
