We see our people as, well, people - with interests, families, friends, dreams, and causes that are all important to them. Our focus is on the health and safety of our teammates as well as work‑life balance and diversity and inclusion. From generous benefits to a variety of employee resource groups, we strive to build paths that encourage employees to stretch themselves professionally. We want to help you grow, develop, and learn new things. You’re constantly evolving, so shouldn’t your opportunities be, too?
The Opportunity
The Director - Investments, Portfolio Construction & Due Diligence will lead the portfolio construction framework supporting Ally Invest Advisors’ model offerings, including Robo Portfolios and Personal Advice. This role is responsible for strategic and tactical asset allocation for AIA portfolios, as well as the research, security selection, manager selection, and investment due diligence that support portfolio design and ongoing oversight.
This is a player‑coach role requiring both strong investment judgment and hands‑on analytical capability. The Director will help shape and enhance portfolio offerings for retail managed and advice clients, ensuring portfolios remain aligned with client objectives, market conditions, and fiduciary standards.
The role also includes a secondary client‑ and market‑facing component, including portfolio analysis, development of market and investment commentary, and support for media inquiries and selected client conversations. The Director will work closely with product strategy, marketing, communications, PR, service, operations, and compliance to ensure investment solutions are well governed, clearly communicated, and appropriate for Ally Invest Advisors’ client base.
At this time, Ally will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
