Maintenance Manager/Data Driven Reliability Leader

Position Overview
We are seeking a

results-driven Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations at a specialty chemical manufacturing facility in Baltimore, MD. This role is responsible for driving

equipment reliability, maintenance performance, and operational efficiency through a structured, data-driven approach.

The ideal candidate is a

strong leader who thrives in a performance-based environment , builds accountability within teams, and uses

metrics and data to drive continuous improvement .

Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of plant maintenance operations, including

mechanical, electrical, and reliability functions

Develop, implement, and manage

preventive and predictive maintenance programs

Establish and drive

key performance indicators (KPIs) including MTBF, MTTR, OEE, PM compliance, and downtime reduction

Utilize

CMMS systems (SAP preferred) to manage work orders, maintenance planning, and reporting

Conduct

root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring equipment failures

Build and maintain

maintenance dashboards and reporting systems to drive data-based decision making

Partner with operations and leadership to improve

plant throughput, efficiency, and reliability

Manage maintenance planning, scheduling, and resource allocation

Lead

capital projects, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives

Drive

safety compliance and regulatory adherence , including working within a union environment

Develop and mentor maintenance staff, ensuring

accountability, performance, and skill development

Qualifications

5+ years of maintenance leadership experience in

manufacturing, chemical, or industrial environments

Proven experience driving

metrics-based maintenance programs and reliability improvements

Strong knowledge of

preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance practices

Experience with

CMMS systems (SAP preferred) and maintenance data analysis

Demonstrated ability to

improve uptime, reduce downtime, and optimize equipment performance

Experience working in

union environments preferred

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Technical background in mechanical and/or electrical systems

Preferred Experience

Background in

chemical manufacturing or continuous process environments

Experience implementing or working within

TPM or reliability-driven maintenance systems

Familiarity with

data visualization tools or maintenance dashboards
