Description

Responsible for the visual appearance of the actors (clothes, shoes, hats, purses, canes, parasols, jewelry, wigs, makeup, etc.)
Ensure compatibility of costumes, including those not worn (corsets, hoops, boning, character elements such as padded stomachs, etc.)
Collaborate with the director on the vision for character costumes
Acquire needed costumes through building, renting, borrowing, or buying
Measure students for proper fittings
Create costume tracking for each character
Dry clean or wash all articles of clothing before returning during strike
Attend technical rehearsals to ensure all pieces work for the actors
