Responsibilities
Serve as the lead writer for the show team
Fill in for copy editors and producers as needed
Complete a heavy load of writing assignments, generally the most important or complex stories
Take a producer's instructions, format the script, view appropriate graphics and video, and find relevant source information
Help to train upcoming writers
Early hours are required for this position
Requirements
College degree preferred
5 years of experience as a full-time writer in broadcast news, major market
