To qualify, you must have at least eight to ten years of specialized experience in Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate extensive knowledge and application of legal principles and Federal administrative law, and significant experience arguing complex cases in Federal courts, including the United States Circuit Courts of Appeals.
Ideal Candidate
- Extensive knowledge of general legal principles and Federal administrative law, including judicial decisions, statutes, and regulations.
- Significant experience writing briefs and arguing complex cases before Federal Courts, including the United States Circuit Courts of Appeals.
- Demonstrated advanced oral and written communication skills, with experience effectively conveying complex legal, technical, programmatic, and policy information to colleagues, senior management officials, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to serve as an organizational representative and liaison, building collaborative relationships and achieving cooperation and consensus on high‑priority matters.
