Managing Director

Our client, a leading lower middle market boutique, is seeking an experienced Managing Director to join its growing middle-market advisory platform. The successful candidate will be responsible for originating and executing M&A advisory and capital raising engagements for privately held and family-owned businesses. This individual will leverage an established network of executives, private equity firms, entrepreneurs, and advisors to develop new client relationships while mentoring junior bankers and contributing to the continued growth of the firm.
Business Development

Originate new sell-side M&A, buy-side advisory, and capital raising engagements.
Develop and maintain relationships with business owners, CEOs, private equity sponsors, family offices, attorneys, accountants, and other referral sources.
Build and execute a consistent business development strategy to generate new opportunities.
Represent Bridgepoint at industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings.
Transaction Leadership

Lead engagements from initial pitch through closing.
Advise clients on valuation, transaction strategy, buyer positioning, and negotiation.
Oversee preparation of marketing materials including teasers, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), management presentations, and financial analyses.
Manage buyer outreach, due diligence, negotiation, and closing processes.
Coordinate with legal counsel, accountants, lenders, and other advisors throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Client Management

Serve as the primary senior advisor to business owners and executive teams.
Provide strategic guidance on mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, ownership transitions, and capital structure alternatives.
Deliver exceptional client service throughout each engagement.
Leadership

Mentor Vice Presidents, Associates, and Analysts.
Provide guidance on execution quality, client communication, and professional development.
Help recruit and retain top talent.
Foster a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture across the firm.
Firm Development

Contribute to strategic initiatives that strengthen Bridgepoint's market position.
Develop sector expertise and thought leadership.
Collaborate with other Managing Directors to cross-sell capabilities across industries and geographies.

Qualifications

1020+ years of investment banking, corporate finance, or transaction advisory experience.
Demonstrated history of originating middle-market advisory engagements.
Strong M&A execution experience across sell-side, buy-side, recapitalizations, or capital raises.
Existing network of business owners, private equity firms, and referral partners.
Proven ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
Exceptional communication and client relationship skills.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA, CPA, CFA, or other advanced credentials are a plus.
Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is an entrepreneurial banker who has developed a meaningful client network but wants the flexibility and support of a collaborative boutique platform. Successful Managing Directors are expected to combine strong origination capabilities with hands-on transaction leadership while working closely with colleagues across the firm's industry practices and office locations. They are relationship-driven, execution-oriented, and comfortable advising founder-owned and family-owned middle-market businesses through complex strategic transactions.
Comp Structure: $250,000 base; incentives paid at close of transactions.
