YOUR ROLE
The Buyer oversees tactical planning, execution and reporting of campaigns. They use their knowledge of the media marketplace and media channels to brainstorm and ideate new activations and vendors for media campaigns, bringing fresh ideas to all projects.
Responsibilities
Maintain a base-level knowledge of buying across online and offline media channels: Digital (Banners, Audio, Video) Search, Social, TV, Radio, OOH, Print.
Own vendor communications and develop relationships with clients.
Manage the RFP process, developing partner consideration sets, preparing RFPs, and handling conversations and RFP development with partners.
Collaborate on media buying, vendor contracts, budget management by individual platforms, billing/invoicing for media campaigns.
Lead the use of media buying tools (Freewheel, SBMS/Adazzle, GCM & MOAT/IAS, GCM, Datorama, Tableau, etc.) to execute plans and buys.
Apply negotiation principles to secure discounts and added value.
Act as the first gatekeeper and reviewer for the Assistant’s work.
Ensure smooth campaign launch & execution, communicating updates internally and externally.
Deep understanding of the Digital media trafficking process.
Perform weekly pacing and monitoring of campaign performance.
Quality Focus
Fully comprehend media strategy and tactical details.
Support the Supervisor/Director in developing media approaches.
Encourage media & creative integration through cross‑agency presentations and timelines.
Validate accuracy of data used for reporting.
Develop media POVs for clients.
Encourage outside‑the‑box thinking.
Stay up to date with marketplace offerings and new opportunities.
Personal Efforts & Team Contribution
Participate in training to enhance professional growth.
Mentor Assistant Buyers, providing ongoing feedback and reviews.
Display a high level of personal dedication and motivation.
Positively contribute to culture.
Troubleshoot team issues and concerns.

REQUIREMENTS
2 years of media investment/buying experience across online and/or offline channels, with campaign execution and management.
Proficiency with media tools and platforms such as Freewheel, SBMS/Adazzle, GCM, MOAT/IAS, Tableau.
Strong project and campaign management skills, including RFP development, vendor negotiations, trafficking, pacing, and reporting.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities—able to manage vendor relationships, support internal teams, and articulate media strategies.
Ability to mentor junior team members.
Salary range: $62k – $75k. Compensation is determined by skills, qualifications and tenure.
This role requires proximity to New York City. We offer a hybrid arrangement with a combination of onsite work and flexibility to work from home.
