About the Role
Capital Farm Credit is the largest rural lending cooperative in Texas, serving 192 counties through nearly 70 credit offices. We provide essential financial services to farmers, ranchers, rural homeowners, and agribusinesses.

We are seeking a motivated Loan Officer to develop new business and service existing commercial and real‑estate customers in the Edna, Texas office.

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Ag Economics, Ag Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Job Requirements
Three or more years of loan officer experience or equivalent.

Business development skills with credit knowledge to grow portfolio with quality loans.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Ability to assess risk and issue recommendations on commercial or real estate loans.

Good standing in current/previous employment.

Strong work ethic to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Must register as a Mortgage Loan Officer under the National Mortgage Licensing System.

Real‑estate and production‑agriculture knowledge beneficial.

Responsibilities
Develop new business and service existing commercial and real‑estate customers.

Review loan analysis within guidelines, process and approve loan requests within delegated authority.

Submit loan requests exceeding authority with recommendations for approval or rejection.

Build and maintain business relationships with agricultural producers, landowners, and community leaders.

Represent the association at local and regional community activities and promote the association.

Make and service leases, loans for operating equipment and real estate, and offer related services such as cash management products and crop insurance.

Make decisions on loan approval, structure, and pricing.

Ensure verification of assets and liabilities, secure background and credit history, and evaluate loan collateral.

Develop proficiency in credit analysis, reviewing financial statements.

Perform loan servicing tasks including partial releases, reamortizations, assumptions, and conversions.

Risk‑rate assigned loans, ensure correct loss‑given default, performance status, and compliance with credit admin practices.

Assist staff with collections and work with delinquent borrowers.

Maintain loan covenants and assist with title examination and closing processes.

Preferred Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication.

Basic to moderate Microsoft Office skills.

General accounting and financial system knowledge.

Intermediate accounting and financial analysis under moderate supervision.
