Responsibilities Senior Manager of Bank Relationship Management to lead Global Treasury’s banking relationship strategy and governance framework across a global network of financial institutions. This role serves as the primary liaison between Global Treasury and its banking partners, ensuring banking services effectively support the firm’s treasury operations, liquidity management, risk management, investment activities, and strategic growth initiatives.
Develop and execute Oaktree's banking strategy, oversee banking partner performance evaluation frameworks, and build scalable reporting, analytics, and governance processes across the banking network.
Establish and enhance the bank relationship management infrastructure, including development of centralized reporting and data management capabilities related to bank balances, interest rates, fee structures, service utilization, and partner performance.
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting processes, improve data transparency, and deliver actionable insights to Finance leadership and business stakeholders.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Finance, Investment and Trading Operations, Capital Solutions, Legal, Compliance, and external banking partners.
Manage banking negotiations, pricing schedules, master service agreements, and related commercial arrangements; benchmark banking fees and service offerings.
Serve as the central point of coordination for significant banking issues, service disruptions, operational challenges, and relationship escalations.
Lead cross‑functional initiatives involving Global Treasury, Finance, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Technology, and banking partners to deliver strategic outcomes.
Support the continued evolution of Oaktree's global banking governance framework and Global Treasury organization.
Banking Strategy & Relationship Management Develop and maintain Oaktree's global banking strategy, including partner selection criteria, relationship governance standards, and service delivery expectations.
Serve as the primary relationship manager for Treasury banking partners, fostering senior‑level relationships and acting as a strategic liaison.
Evaluate partner capabilities, financial strength, service quality, and strategic alignment through ongoing monitoring and annual assessments.
Recommend enhancements to banking structure, service model, provider network, and relationships based on performance and evolving needs.
Banking Analytics & Reporting Develop and maintain the firm’s bank relationship management reporting framework, including centralized reporting across balances, rates, earnings credits, fee structures, and performance metrics.
Establish governance scorecards, KPIs, and reporting repositories to improve transparency and consistency.
Identify opportunities to automate reporting, data collection, and monitoring via technology‑enabled solutions.
Deliver analytical insights and recommendations to support strategy, fee management, liquidity decisions, and partner selection.
Commercial Management & Strategic Partnerships Manage banking negotiations, pricing schedules, and master service agreements.
Conduct benchmarking and analysis of banking fees, deposit rates, and service offerings to ensure competitive relationships.
Partner with Capital Solutions to optimize credit capacity and support financing objectives.
Support strategic banking initiatives, RFP processes, and onboarding of new services.
Escalation Management & Service Excellence Central coordination for significant banking issues, service disruptions, and relationship escalations.
Lead troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and remediation involving banking partners and internal stakeholders.
Coordinate resolution of complex issues while maintaining effective communication.
Identify trends and opportunities to improve delivery, resilience, and client experience.
Leadership & Enterprise Partnership Lead cross‑functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.
Prepare and support senior leaders for strategic banking engagements and executive‑level meetings.
Support the evolution of the global banking governance framework and Global Treasury organization.
Qualifications 7-9 years of experience in Treasury, Corporate Banking, Transaction Banking, Cash Management, Banking Relationship Management, Treasury Consulting, or related financial services functions.
Experience managing relationships with global financial institutions, custodians, investment banks, lenders, and transaction banking providers.
Experience leading reporting, analytics, data management, or automation initiatives within Treasury, Banking, Finance, or Operations.
Strong understanding of banking products and services, including payments, liquidity management, cash management, account services, custody and prime brokerage, credit facilities, and online banking platforms.
Experience conducting banking performance reviews, service assessments, and relationship governance activities.
Ability to influence stakeholders, manage complex initiatives, and drive issue resolution across multiple functions.
Preferred experience within investment management, alternative asset management, banking, or global financial services environments.
Preferred experience with Treasury Management Systems (TMS), banking portals, and financial reporting tools.

Base Salary Range $135,000 - $170,000 plus discretionary bonus incentives, comprehensive benefits package, and flexible work arrangement. Base salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
