Purpose & Scope of The Position:
The WBTC Operations Technician is responsible for taking and labeling concentrate samples. Learn new things and teach others, so that we can improve as individuals and as a team. Perform other functions and duties as assigned by the Supervisor while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect KGHM’s values.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Take and label concentrate samples.

Communicate clearly via handheld radio.

Climb/descend ladders several times throughout shift.

All WBTC employees are responsible for the safety of themselves as well as their co-workers.

Must be able to shovel and sweep inside Gondola car.

Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.

Required Education, Work Experience & Training:

Basic light vehicle operation experience.

A valid Driver’s License.

Preferred Education, Work Experience & Training:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in an industrial type of environment.

Skills pertaining to operation of heavy equipment.

Technical Skills:

Candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts and 8–14-hour shifts.

Able to read and understand Health, Safety and Environmental standards.

Travel Requirements:

Willing to travel as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

N/A

Additional Requirements:

Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.

Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly.
