Job Title: Senior Copywriter
Location: Riverwoods, IL 60015 (Remote possible; hybrid preferred for locals — 3 days/week onsite)
Pay Range: $54 – $58/hour
Contract Duration: 12 months
Role Overview The company’s in-house creative agency seeks a freelance senior-level copywriter with a passion for storytelling and crafting clear, engaging copy across digital platforms. The role spans from initial brief to final execution, and includes writing for various B2C touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities Create compelling content for email, display ads, social media, and websites
Translate creative briefs and audience insights into persuasive messaging
Partner closely with copywriters and designers
Explain complex ideas using clear, relatable language
Seamlessly incorporate feedback from leadership
Maintain legal accuracy and compliance in all copy
Write in accordance with brand tone, voice, and guidelines
Meet deadlines independently throughout the project lifecycle
Present creative work and justify messaging decisions to stakeholders
Ideal Candidate Has 3–5 years of B2C copywriting experience
A strong, polished portfolio of work
Natural storytelling ability with the knack to connect ideas
Excellent grammar, editing, and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Highly self-motivated and organized
Not reliant on generative AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT) for writing
