Compensation Range: $36.00‑$42.00 hourly
Role Overview
The Reliability Technician III is responsible for keeping the production equipment operating at its fullest and safe operating capacity, performing repairs, and preventing problems before they worsen. The role involves overseeing maintenance, performing tooling changes and setup, and installing and repairing electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and other production equipment. Technicians may be assigned to the Plastics, Serac, Extraction, Fresh, or Arils Department, all part of the Reliability Department.
Responsibilities
Ensure all company and OSHA safety programs are followed.
Ensure all GMP policies and Food safety procedures are followed.
Ensure all required GFSI, FDA, USDA, FSMA, Third Party Audit, and company procedures and policies related to food safety are followed.
Inspect work for completeness and inform supervisor when job assignments/PM are complete and ready for inspection.
Determine material, equipment, and supplies to be used; transfer equipment from one project to another as necessary.
Keep routine records and PM records up to date.
Install, inspect, repair and maintain the electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and other related systems in the Reliability department.
Inspect major contract work on mechanical and other related systems and assist when necessary to understand new installations or changes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Ability to perform all mechanic I & II skills & abilities with minimal to no supervision.
Extensive understanding of the Theory of Operations for surrounding production equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot proficiently when production equipment breakdowns occur.
Ability to perform all PMs or work requests generated for the Reliability department with minimal supervision.
Ability to generate value-added work requests through performing uptime inspections utilizing ultrasonic devices and other external tools to identify premature failures of production equipment.
Education & Experience
High School or GED or related technical field. At least two years of education and training beyond the high school level in general maintenance and repair, or a closely related area. Five years of experience in maintenance operations, including two years in a supervisory or lead capacity.
