At the Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC), we believe that ending hunger requires a community effort. We're looking for a Social Media Intern who can go beyond the basics to create high-impact, authentic content. This is a hands- on role where you'll be in the field capturing real stories, experimenting with new trends, and helping us turn followers into advocates.

What You’ll Do

Develop and post engaging content for Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X.

Head out to our markets and community events to capture the photos and videos that bring our mission to life.

Lead the way on Reels and TikToks—filming, editing, and choosing the right audio.

Collaborate with our graphic designer to ensure our social feed is cohesive, professional, and visually compelling.

Manage the conversation. You’ll be the voice of MOFC in the comments, building connections with our supporters.

Stay on top of trending topics in the nonprofit space and use analytics to see what resonates with our audience.

Who You Are

You’re studying Marketing, Communications, PR, or a related field and understand how to build a brand voice.

You’re comfortable with CapCut and Adobe Creative Suite and know your way around native platform editors.

You can write a compelling caption that inspires action, whether it’s for a donor on LinkedIn or a volunteer on IG.

You can manage your own deadlines and aren’t afraid to take the initiative on a new content idea.

You have examples of social media work or video content you’ve produced.

The Schedule

Summer (May–July): 28 hours per week (Our peak season!)

Fall (Aug–Dec): 20 hours per week

Winter (Jan): 10 hours per week

Spring (Feb–Apr): 20 hours per week
