You will help Vital maintain existing websites as well as build new ones using the latest in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML technologies. Along with coding, you will be responsible for working with project managers and designers on a regular basis to make each project the best it can be.
Responsibilities
- Passionate about building responsive, adaptive, mobile-first websites that meet usability and accessibility web standards and best practices.
- Highly collaborative in a team-oriented environment.
- Able to multitask and prioritize, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experienced with several front- and back-end programming languages and tools. We mostly use PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Familiarity with these daily or a willingness to learn them on a daily basis is required.
- Strong understanding of responsive web development, cross-browser compatibility, and web standards.
- Not afraid to work hard, be humble, ask questions, and learn new things.
Desired Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience with PHP and WordPress or Drupal.
- Experience working on e-commerce platforms.
- Familiarity with Git version control.
- Experience using workflow automation tools such as Grunt or Gulp.
- Good understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to them.
- Experience working with SOAP and/or REST APIs.
