Role of the DirectorThe Director is responsible for all aspects of managing the program's development, supervision, enrollment, and the facilities. The Director is to ensure the smooth flow of the program and the adherence to our stated philosophy. Other responsibilities of the Director are as follows:Overseeing the care, safety, and well-being of all children at the centerHold staff meetings, staff training, and encouraging continuing educationChild enrollments, parent conferences, and parent educationAll aspects of staffing, schedules, and parent educationAll aspects of staffing, schedules, and supervision of personnelOverall maintenance of safe and clean environmentCompliance with State and Local agencies while maintaining licensing rules and regulationsNetworking with the communityDirector must approve the teachers' lesson plans on a weekly basisThe Director must be on duty during the center's operating hours a minimum of 40 hours per weekThe Director will supervise all center personnelThe Director will be in charge of the parent paymentsAs the Director, the following education/experience is necessary:Bachelor's degree in child Development or its equivalentOne or more courses in program administrationExperience as a Lead TeacherPreferably, prior experience with staff supervisionThe following skills are required for the Director to be effective:Through understanding of child growth and developmentAbility to maintain positive relationships with infants, toddlers, staff, and parentsAbility to hire, train, and supervise adultsSound knowledge of business practicesBenefits:Paid time offPaid holidaysGreat workplace experience!E04JI800uh44403a1sk
