Who are we hiring?
The Vice President, Ticket Sales and Service is responsible for leading the strategic direction and operational execution of all ticket sales and service initiatives as well as all publicly ticketed events. This role requires a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales management, customer service excellence, and team leadership. The VP will work closely with cross‑functional teams to maximize revenue, enhance customer experience, and drive overall organizational growth.
What will you do?
Strategy Development
Develop and implement a comprehensive ticket sales strategy that aligns with the organization’s overall objectives across CPKC Stadium, Riverside Stadium, and Current Landing
Lead the organization’s publicly ticketed events strategy, including economic modeling, ticket sales pricing and operations, bid process (if applicable), and the contract and negotiation process
Lead, mentor, and manage the ticket sales and service teams to achieve and exceed sales targets, developing a high‑performance culture based on accountability, teamwork and results
Ensure exceptional customer service across all touchpoints, creating a seamless experience for all ticket clients, and develop programs to enhance loyalty and retention
Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed
Collaborate across departments to create compelling sales campaigns and initiatives, optimize revenue across varying external stakeholders, and align strategies with overall business goals
Work closely with Finance to develop and manage the Ticket Sales and Service budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize return on investment
Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including season ticket members and Kansas City Corporate Community at‑large
Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies that can enhance ticket sales operations
Identify sales tools and technologies that enable the sales process and drive efficiency and effectiveness
What do you need to succeed?
Required
A strong, proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including speaking, writing and active listening
Proven ability to plan, implement and analyze performance results against objectives and KPIs
Proven ability to attract new sales and retain existing customers
Excellent time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong supervisory and leadership skills
Strong strategic planning, analytical and problem‑solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Proficient with varying ticket systems and CRM software
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales or related field
Minimum of 7 years of demonstrated sales leadership experience in ticket sales, sports/entertainment industry or a related industry
Special Requirements Of The Job
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, inclusive of weekends, nights (event evenings & overnight operation shifts), and holidays
Ability to monitor company communications and respond to time‑sensitive matters with senior executives
Travel may be required
