Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

Develop strategic marketing plans considering agency strengths, competitors, and market conditions.
Identify and secure profitable new business opportunities in target markets and implement strategic plans to increase market share.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key agencies, providing tailored insurance solutions that meet their specific needs, leading to increased agency retention and satisfaction.
Educate agencies on product features, market placement, and effective selling techniques.
Drive revenue growth by achieving or exceeding sales targets. May develop and execute cross‑selling and up‑selling strategies.
Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats, informing strategic decision‑making.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Frequent day and overnight travel (60% ‑ 80% of time) to visit agents and brokers in Illinois.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic business development, marketing, or a related role.
Progress toward certifications such as Associate in Underwriting (AU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Program in General Insurance (INS) or Associate of Risk Management (ARM).
Strong understanding of agency dynamics, marketing, underwriting, and risk management.
Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
Proficiency in interpreting competitive data and industry trends.
Compliance with insurance laws and regulations, applying underwriting rules, guidelines, and rating manual standards.
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to inform decisions.
Demonstrated decision‑making ability and customer‑centric mindset.
Remote work eligible.

$80,000.00 – $155,000.00
