Opportunity
This position is responsible for the strategic development and implementation of marketing communications campaigns and programs to support the business and deliver measurable results.
What You’ll Work On
Execute campaigns across multiple channels and geographies to enable sales and build the Abbott Brand.
Demonstrate an understanding of the business, product, customer, distribution channels and competitors, applying marketing communications expertise to execute global plans.
Create and implement measurable, multi‑channel communication strategies and sales‑enabling campaigns to support the commercialization of Abbott products.
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Digital Marketing, Congress/Events, Public Relations and Creative Services to align on product launches, campaigns, process, strategies, best practices and efficiencies.
Partner with outside agencies and vendors to ensure initiatives meet expectations.
Produce communication materials on time and on budget while using established department procedures and tools.
Assist in content strategy for tier1–3 events and congresses in collaboration with the relevant teams.
Assist in content strategy and development for digital channels such as web, social, email and paid content marketing.
Liaise with specific geographies (Europe, Canada, Latin America and Asia Pacific) to provide direction and ensure consistent global messaging.
Lead ad and promotion regulatory reviews.
Manage inventory of all print and digital marketing materials according to compliance and regulatory requirements to support internal and external customers.
Comply with FDA regulations, company policies, operating procedures, processes and task assignments.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, English or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in marketing communications, advertising or a similar field within the medical device industry or another regulated industry.
Proven track record of delivering measurable, successful, multi‑channel, sales‑enabling communication campaigns.
Demonstrated project management experience.
Experience working in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of interdisciplinary teams that include product managers, designers, agencies and marketing automation teams.
Self‑starter who takes initiative, works comfortably in a fast‑paced environment and can independently manage multiple projects toward aggressive deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels within the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge and experience with SEO, SEM and social media best practices.
Advanced skills in PowerPoint and other design software.

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00, with variation based on location.
