Responsibilities
Act as subject matter and technical expert for media delivery supply chain operations.
Review audio/visual content against strict deadlines and ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with external partners to fix content to meet deadlines.
Research and normalize metadata and create tracking tickets for assets that need remediation.
Provide technical expertise for content issues with A/V, XML, and timed text.
Monitor the health of the encoding and ingestion pipeline, providing operational support.
Identify and triage internal incidents, escalating them to appropriate technical teams in a timely manner.
Update documentation and train team members on procedures.
Provide ongoing status of overall ingest pipeline health to senior staff.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
Background in video or film is preferred.
Strong knowledge of video codecs and encoding.
Familiarity with video streaming, specifically HLS.
Understanding of closed captions, subtitles, XML/JSON structure.
Knowledge of industry standard delivery specifications such as CableLabs and MovieLabs.
Previous experience supporting a VOD workflow or digital asset management system.
Strong organizational skills; ability to track large‑scale projects.
Strong multi‑tasking ability and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a quality control department.
Knowledge of Aspera or other advanced delivery systems.
Spanish language proficiency.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Compensation
The hiring range for this position in San Francisco, CA is $73,100 to $98,000 per year. Base pay will be determined based on internal equity, geographic region, and candidate experience. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be offered as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
