What You'll Be Doing

Assist in the design of electrical and instrumentation assignments under close supervision. Perform fieldwork, including measuring and documenting as-built conditions.
Estimate material requirements (MTO) and maintain project schedules.
Design, review and maintain a broad range of I&E drawings such as P&Is, single lines, motor schematics, I/O drawings, panel schedules, cable tray routes, and related databases.
Collaborate with engineers, senior designers, and other disciplines to meet project deadlines.
Develop senior design skills and support department needs over time.
Responsibilities

Assist in design of larger and more complex electrical and instrumentation assignments.
Conduct fieldwork to pull measurements and create as-built documentation.
Estimate material requirements and track project schedules.
Design, review, and maintain I&E drawings, including P&Is, single lines, motor schematics, I/O drawings, panel schedules, cable tray routes, and database entries.
Work with engineers and senior designers, and interface with other disciplines.
Meet all project timeline deadlines.
Learn and apply advanced design techniques to support department growth.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.
Work at heights up to 6 feet, climb stairs, ladders, or scaffolding, and use man-lifts as required.
Operate in a chemical plant environment with heat and humidity.
Education & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer‑Aided Drafting preferred.
5+ years of industrial experience in electrical and instrumentation drafting and design.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Proficient in designing Instrumentation and Electrical Systems, including PLC, DCS, motor schematics, P&Is, single lines, and logic drawings.
Experience with MicroStation, Excel, Word; PDMS/E3D a plus.
Ability to design in congested operating areas and conduct fieldwork.
Understanding of safety and working in a chemical plant environment.
