Senior Managing Editor

Overseeing the editorial quality and production of educational curricula, the full-time Senior Managing Editor will manage a team of copyeditors, proofreaders, and content engineers in a remote environment, ensuring high-quality materials and effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities:

Manage a team in a fast-paced publishing environment, ensuring editorial consistency and quality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish workflows, schedules, and deliverables while managing contract work, budgets, and invoicing
Track project progress, surface issues, and develop solutions, while staying current on accessibility and technical requirements

Required qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Publishing, or a related field
8 years of editorial experience in educational publishing
5 years managing large, multi-dimensional projects and interdisciplinary teams
Proficiency with project management software such as Monday.com, Microsoft Project, JIRA, and Confluence
Experience integrating AI tools and publishing workflows to enhance efficiency
