Athletics Creative/Streaming Communications (Temporary Position)
The Athletics Creative/Streaming Communications temporary position serves as an assistant to the Communications team for the day‑to‑day coverage of UNC Wilmington athletic programs. The role involves a mix of project support, video production, live streaming, social media coordination, and event promotion across 19 athletic programs.
Responsibilities
Manage special projects for the Seahawk Club, Sammy’s Award Show, ticketing office, and promotion of ticket and donation events, including the UNCW Hall of Fame.
Produce video board content for Trask Coliseum: pre‑game, post‑game, in‑game segments, intros, hype videos, Natatorium intros, and highlight reels for student‑athletes; cover volleyball, baseball, and softball tournaments as needed.
Stream events and games, enhancing production value with campus footage, in‑game interviews, post‑event interviews, and highlight compilations.
Assist with coaches’ shows, increasing the number of programs for men’s and women’s basketball, baseball, and softball.
Coordinate social media across all athletic programs, develop templates, and work with Ticketing Office and the Seahawk Club to promote ticket sales and donor events.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency.
Highly dependable, flexible, and available for evenings and weekends.
Excellent customer service and communication skills; able to interact professionally with the public.
Ability to stand for extended periods, both indoors and outdoors.
Team player who works effectively in collaborative environments.
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Work Hours & Compensation
Work hours vary; intermittent and occasional work for events.
Hours per week: intermittent, occasional work for events.
Pay: $20 per hour.
