Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or equivalent, when applicable.
Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Completion of all OCFS-required health and safety training.
Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
Maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom.
Demonstrate professionalism and reliability.
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Support the center's mission, philosophy, and commitment to high-quality early childhood education.
Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
Collaborate with assistant teachers and other staff.
Maintain compliance with regulations, center policies, and licensing standards.
Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
Model professionalism, teamwork, and ethical conduct.
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities based on children's interests and developmental needs.
Encourage language development through conversations, songs, books, and storytelling.
