Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Vinyl Sign Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, prepare, and produce high-quality vinyl graphics for signs, vehicles, windows, walls, banners, and other promotional materials. This role requires strong design skills, technical knowledge of vinyl production, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once while meeting deadlines. This role is also customer-facing; be friendly, approachable, and willing to assist. This position offers the opportunity to combine creativity with hands‑on production, creating visually impactful signage that helps businesses effectively promote their brands.

Key Responsibilities

Design custom vinyl graphics, signage, decals, wraps, and promotional displays based on customer requirements.

Create production-ready artwork using design software such as Photoshop, Flexi, Composer and others.

Prepare files for vinyl cutting, printing, and installation.

Collaborate with customers and sales staff to understand project specifications and provide design recommendations.

Operate vinyl plotters (Gerber Edge, Graphtecc, Gerber Odysessy), large-format printers, laminators, and related equipment.

Perform quality checks to ensure color accuracy, sizing, and production standards.

Maintain organized project files and production records.

Assist with measuring, layout, and installation of vinyl graphics and signage as needed.

Troubleshoot artwork or production issues to ensure timely project completion.

Keep up with current design trends, materials, and sign production techniques.

Qualifications

1 to 3 years of experience in sign design, graphic design, or vinyl production preferred.

Proficiency in Flexi, Composer, Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop, or similar design software.

Experience with large-format printing and vinyl cutting equipment is a plus.

Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles.

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods when assisting with production or installation.

Preferred Skills

Experience designing vehicle wraps, fleet graphics, large, medium and small signs.

Knowledge of sign materials, substrates, and vinyl application techniques.

Familiarity with software and print workflow.

Basic installation experience for vinyl graphics and signage.

Work Environment

Fast-paced sign shop or production facility.

Combination of office-based design work and production floor activities.

Occasional local travel for measuring or installing signage may be required.
