ESPN West Palm Part-Time Producer & Reporter

ESPN West Palm Radio is looking for a part-time Producer & Reporter to help produce live and syndicated programming with potential to earn additional opportunities. The ideal candidate has a passion for South Florida sports, high school athletics and a flexible schedule with most shifts being night and weekends.

The Role of a Producer and a Reporter
The primary role ofthispositionwill work with host(s) on content plan and execution, supportour talenton show production and log fulfillment, collaborate with other show producers on the sharing of news, ideas, and audio, work in conjunction with marketing/promotions on contesting and sponsorships, assist engineers on ensuring the station is operating within FCC guidelines and is on-the-air, as well as host, co-host, or fill-in on local shows.This role will also involve covering stories in the community and surrounding South Florida area.

Daily Tasks of a Producer & Reporter

Run radio production, including maintaining audio levels and smoothly transitioning from one source to another.

Support video production for in-studio local shows and on-site, locally produced live sports broadcasts.

Cut and post video segments from live shows for YouTube, social media, and other digital platforms.

Create and implement production elements, including bumpers, liners, audio drops, sound effects, and other show materials.

Source potential contributors, guests, and interviewees.

Post and promote on-air content across social media platforms.

Edit audio cuts and full hours of programming for podcasting.

Convert text, graphics,videoand audio files for digital platforms.

Use and contribute to archives of audio files and sources for content segments.

Respond to audience feedback and refer matters to other departments as needed.

Use editing software for production purposes.

Shoot, edit, and write stories.

Find community stories that best represent Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast.

Build relationships in the community to support storytelling and the team.

May have opportunities to support hosting, fill-in, or play-by-play responsibilities based on business needs, teammate readiness, and broadcast clearance.

Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
