Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Digital Marketing Coordinator to join our Guest Experience team at the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill (Carolina Dining Services). The ideal candidate would be a proficient photo/video digital marketer who strives to elevate our guest experience through effective communication on social media, email, and website platforms. This role involves collaborating with the Guest Experience team to drive follower growth, increase engagement, and drive meal plan sales.

As a member of the Guest Experience team, this position will closely collaborate with the onsite Operations team and Corporate Marketing team to bring to life the visions and missions of both Aramark and our clients. The Digital Marketing Coordinator serves as a champion, guardian, advocate, and ambassador of the brand. They will provide support for all local engagement activities, both partner and consumer-facing, including written and verbal communications, events, and community engagement. Digital Coordinators coordinate, organize and execute all communication initiatives, including both proactive and reactive communication to bring the brand to life. The coordinator will provide support on all local engagement activities, both partner and consumer facing, including but not limited to written and verbal communication, events, learning programs and community events.

Job Responsibilities

The primary role requires writing and curating video and photography for the Carolina Dining Services website, social media platforms, and digital newsletters.

Supports the development, implementation, and execution of the client’s brand strategy

Maintain all social media platforms, developing and executing innovative content and strategies.

Ensure rapid turnaround and timely delivery of completed content meeting project deadlines.

Execute results-driven campaigns for social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.

Utilize analytics to inform decisions on strategy, content, and engagement, tracking effectiveness through measurable goals.

Provide basic leadership and direction to social media interns.

Manage website content, enhancements, and further development.

Execute on-site market research initiatives including digital surveys.

Drives innovation via technology providing a strategic marketing plan as well as implementation support for multiple platforms such as digital screens and mobile applications

Support the operations team in executing innovation launches that drive profit growth.

Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in video marketing, sharing insights and recommendations with the broader marketing team.

Support the development and implementation of internal marketing strategies to drive meal plan sales, increase engagement, promote thought leadership, and develop brand awareness.

Qualifications

1-2 years of diverse experience working in marketing, social media or similar roles preferred.

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premier Pro) or equivalent digital media editing tools with an eye for design.

Previous experience with photo and video projects, including shooting and editing.

Multi-task and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Self-starter who can work independently or collaboratively with a team of creators and project managers.

Bachelor's degree in marketing, media, communications, or a related field (preferred).
