Role Overview

CarGurus is looking for a growth‑mindful, customer‑obsessed, and analytical Product Manager to join our Consumer Mobile App team. In this role you will help shape how millions of shoppers discover, evaluate, and purchase cars across our top‑rated iOS and Android apps. You’ll work across key top‑of‑funnel mobile experiences—including onboarding, the app home page, account creation, notifications, personalization, and early‑stage shopping guidance—to keep shoppers engaged and moving confidently through their journey. You’ll partner with Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, and Marketing to turn customer insights, behavioral data, and business opportunities into intuitive mobile experiences through discovery, rapid testing, launch, and iteration.
What You’ll Do

Own the roadmap and strategy across key growth and top‑of‑funnel experiences in the consumer mobile app
Explore both optimizations to existing experiences and new 0‑to‑1 ideas that help shoppers get started, stay engaged, and move through their car shopping journey
Translate user needs, behavioral data, and research insights into clear product requirements, user stories, and intuitive mobile experiences
Partner with Engineering, Design, Analytics, and cross‑functional stakeholders to align on priorities, make trade‑offs, and deliver high‑quality products
Support rapid experimentation by developing hypotheses, defining success metrics, coordinating A/B tests, analyzing performance, and synthesizing learnings
Monitor feature and funnel metrics—including activation, engagement, retention, and conversion—to identify opportunities for customer and business impact
Support sprint planning, backlog grooming, QA, launch readiness, and post‑launch tracking
Communicate progress, results, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders and leadership
What You’ll Bring

3+ years of product management experience, including 1+ years focused on mobile apps, ideally in consumer‑facing, marketplace, e‑commerce, or growth‑oriented environments
Proven track record of owning and improving core funnel or conversion experiences with clear KPI impact on high‑traffic consumer products
Experience in growth or optimization‑focused roles, including A/B testing, funnel analysis, and iterative product development
Strong understanding of mobile platforms, iOS and Android design principles and best practices, and the react native ecosystem
Curious and product‑minded, with a strong pulse on emerging technologies, mobile apps, and evolving product design patterns
Highly analytical and data‑driven with the ability to define success metrics, interpret results, and translate insights into product decisions
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align cross‑functional teams around strategy, priorities, and outcomes
Hands‑on experience leveraging GenAI to optimize workflows/generate prototypes and agentic coding platforms like Claude Code (preferred)
Position Pay Range
