Program Manager – Fresh Start
Compensation based on experience and education, up to $57,000 base salary with additional incentives available.

Responsibilities

Oversee all staff and direct care issues and services, ensuring effective leadership‑based management of program with an emphasis on high‑quality care delivered in a cost‑effective manner.

Maintain weekly communication and/or supervision with Regional Program Manager for overview of job responsibilities.

Coordinate all services offered to each resident, including: helping the resident and parent or legal guardian understand the effects of separating a resident from the family and what to expect; assisting in establishing and maintaining a relationship with family and preparing for the resident’s future care; helping residents develop functional interpersonal skills needed for success in life; conveying resident’s needs to staff to promote positive adjustment to group living.

Required qualifications

A master’s degree in social work, psychology or counseling; OR

A baccalaureate degree in social work or psychology with documented field‑work experience and must be supervised by the program director or other staff employed by the provider with the same qualifications as required by 22VAC40‑151‑290; OR

A baccalaureate degree and three years of professional experience working with children.

Preferred qualifications

QMHP and Master’s degree in a human services field with three or more years of experience with children, one of which is in a residential facility.

Bachelor’s degree in a human services field required with five or more years of experience with children, two of which are in a residential facility.

Two or more years in group home management/supervision or similar experience.
