Responsibilities

Deliver and promote communications strategies that educate audiences and build trust in our content, advertisements, and commerce policies, products, and safety processes. Prepare and maintain messaging, promotional materials, and campaigns about product features, policies, and advertisements which demonstrate our commitment to safe, inclusive, and age-appropriate content experiences. Conduct market research to anticipate and mitigate potential reputational risks and collaborate with product teams to develop corresponding safety programs and community guidance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Trust & Safety, Advertising, E-Commerce, Product, Legal, Public Policy, and Creator, to provide communications counsel, critically evaluate safety policies, and ensure alignment with our public Trust & Safety strategy. Coach personnel in preparation for media interviews, presentations, and other public engagements. Respond to media inquiries. Mentor junior-level team members.
Qualifications

Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Communications, Public Relations, Political Science, Public Administration, Journalism, Business, or a related field, and 6 years of related work experience, of which 5 years must be post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: Building media relationships to shape narratives, mitigate risk, and secure strategic coverage in national or international media outlets; Advising senior leaders on media strategy, product risk, or messaging in sensitive areas including political advertisements, content moderation, and/or Artificial Intelligence; Drafting and editing reports, talking points, or media briefings for leadership; Shaping internal and external messaging on product safety, business policy changes, or crisis response; Managing project or program risk, including meeting deadlines, project schedule, and resourcing by identifying, communicating, and triaging resolutions; and Working within cross-functional teams to diagnose problems, support decision making, and influence project or program direction and stakeholder decisions. Travel Requirement: Domestic and International travel required up to 25%. Type: Full time, 40 hours/week Location: Washington, DC Salary Range: $143100 - $259200 per year
