Social Media Intern

Provide support to the social media strategy in the district's communication and marketing office.

Qualifications
Education/Certification

Recent high school or college graduate.

Experience

Must have experience using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn

Preferred, but not required, experience using Sprout Social

Special Knowledge/Skills

Social media monitoring and analytics

Familiarity with digital cameras, video equipment and mobile devices for taking pictures and filming video

Ability to learn and navigate a cross-platform social media software program

Use AP style writing, or have the ability to learn

Major Responsibilities and Duties
Administrative Support

Support X strategy, engage with followers on X daily

Draft social media messaging for Facebook, X, Instagram and LinkedIn and assist in creation of graphics

Run social media reports; from monthly analytics, to campaign results, to comparisons year-over-year

Upload social media content, including video, images, graphics and messaging, schedule for publication using Sprout Social

Answer questions on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn

Cover events; take pictures, video clips and gather details at campus locations for content on the district social media pages

Support an social media influencer strategy

Use software programs in the Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, etc., to communicate with team members

Other duties as assigned

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computers and peripherals; standard instructional equipment.
