Assistant Director of Marketing & Fan Experience

Overview Assistant Director of Marketing & Fan Experience at the University of Nebraska athletic department. Responsible for planning and executing marketing responsibilities surrounding 25 varsity sports, serving as the primary marketing contact with supervision and management of all marketing and fan experience efforts and initiatives for Softball, Soccer, Women’s Gymnastics and other sports to be determined. This position may have a role with Football and will oversee the Nebraska Athletics Kids Club. Responsibilities Assist in the planning and execution of marketing responsibilities surrounding 25 varsity sports at the University of Nebraska athletic department.
Serve as the primary marketing contact with supervision and management of all marketing and fan experience efforts and initiatives for Softball, Soccer, Women’s Gymnastics and other sports to be determined.
Oversee the Nebraska Athletics Kids Club and participate in related football marketing activities as assigned.
Coordinate with athletic schedules to accommodate flexible hours as needed.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, sports management or related field plus 1 year of sports marketing experience.
Knowledge of computer design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator).
Excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications Sports marketing experience in a Power 4 collegiate athletic department.
Experience scripting and producing for Soccer, Softball or Women’s Gymnastics; Kids Club marketing experience.
Knowledge of athletic marketing and promotions, ticket sales, in-game management, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Posted Salary: $48,000/yr. minimum
