Embry‑Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) seeks a dynamic, student‑centered, and forward‑thinking Digital Media Specialist to provide visionary leadership.
The Digital Media Specialist is a key member of the Digital Strategy team responsible for creating high‑quality, social‑first multimedia content to support the university's brand and enrollment marketing efforts. This role focuses heavily on video production and editing, developing engaging content tailored for platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Meta and other digital channels.
Responsibilities

Capture, edit, and deliver compelling video content, including student stories, event coverage and day‑to‑day brand moments, using mobile and lightweight equipment (e.g., iPhone, DJI) and professional DSLR, mirrorless and cinema‑style camera systems as needed.
Operate professional camera, audio and lighting equipment in a variety of production environments, focusing on agile, in‑the‑field content creation rather than studio‑based work.
Use video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar software) to produce polished, professional edits optimized for platform‑specific formats.
Apply knowledge of social video formats, including both short‑form and long‑form content, and how they perform across platforms to create content that aligns with platform best practices and audience behavior.
Provide recommendations on content structure, pacing and storytelling approaches to maximize engagement and reach on platforms like YouTube and TikTok.
Contribute to both organic and paid initiatives by developing multimedia assets that align with campaign goals and creative direction, repurposing content across platforms and ensuring deliverables meet brand standards and best practices.
Analyze performance insights and platform knowledge to refine content and enhance overall effectiveness, staying current on trends, tools and emerging formats.
Manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively, delivering high‑quality content that supports university priorities and elevates the institution's digital presence.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Communications, Film, Marketing or a related field.
3‑5 years of related work experience in creative design, marketing, video editing or a similar role.
Strong proficiency in video editing software.
Benefits

Generous Time Off: Up to 18 days of paid leave in the first year, including 3 days granted upon hire and 15 days accrued throughout the year; 9+ paid holidays.
Tuition Coverage: 100% tuition coverage for one undergraduate and one graduate degree, discounted rates for spouse and dependent children up to age 26.
