This highly visible leadership role will oversee a significant multi-year fundraising campaign, manage relationships with influential corporate and philanthropic partners, and guide a team responsible for investor engagement and retention. The ideal candidate is a polished, collaborative advancement leader who has personally secured major commitments and can build meaningful relationships with senior executives, board members, foundations, government partners, and civic leaders.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the execution of a multi-million-dollar fundraising campaign, including investor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and retention.

Personally manage a portfolio of high-level corporate, foundation, philanthropic, and government relationships.

Secure significant six- and seven-figure commitments, sponsorships, and multi-year investments.

Develop and implement a comprehensive, multi-year fundraising and revenue-growth strategy.

Lead, coach, and develop the Investor Relations team while establishing clear performance expectations and accountability measures.

Partner with senior leadership and the board to identify, cultivate, and engage prospective investors.

Prepare organizational leaders for external investor meetings, presentations, and fundraising discussions.

Collaborate across membership, sponsorship, events, and other internal departments to align fundraising and engagement strategies.

Guide the development of proposals, sponsorship packages, campaign materials, and investor reports.

Use performance data and market insights to evaluate results, identify opportunities, and adjust strategies.

Represent the organization at meetings, events, and other business and civic engagements throughout the region.

Foster a positive, collaborative culture grounded in trust, accountability, and shared purpose.

Requirements

Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in fundraising, advancement, development, corporate relations, strategic partnerships, or a related field.

Demonstrated success leading complex, multi-source fundraising or revenue campaigns.

Proven ability to personally secure significant six-figure commitments; experience with seven-figure commitments is strongly preferred.

Experience raising funds or generating revenue through corporate sponsors, foundations, philanthropic organizations, government partners, or membership-based relationships.

Strong leadership experience with a record of managing, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.

Executive-level communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage senior executives, board members, investors, and civic leaders.

Experience developing fundraising strategies, managing major relationship portfolios, and overseeing campaign performance.

Strong judgment, professionalism, and comfort representing an organization in highly visible settings.

Data-driven approach to evaluating performance and making strategic decisions.

Ability to work collaboratively across departments and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to work onsite in Center City Philadelphia at least two days per week and attend occasional meetings or events outside traditional business hours.

Preferred Background
Experience within a major nonprofit, higher-education institution, healthcare foundation, economic-development organization, membership association, or regional business organization.

Familiarity with the Greater Philadelphia business, civic, corporate, and philanthropic communities.

Experience partnering closely with boards and senior executive leadership.

Knowledge of corporate sponsorships, investor engagement, membership models, or regional economic-development initiatives.

Established relationships with corporate, foundation, government, or philanthropic leaders in the region.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will be a confident and persuasive relationship-builder who combines strong executive presence with a collaborative, team-first leadership style. They will be comfortable personally making significant asks, developing new relationships, managing a complex campaign, and inspiring others around a meaningful regional mission.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished advancement professional—or a high-performing senior development leader ready to step into a Vice President position—to shape fundraising strategy, expand influential partnerships, and contribute to the continued growth and prosperity of the Greater Philadelphia region.
