Department Overview: McDonald’s marketing department is building a team to leverage scale and unlock sustainable value. The team is transforming marketing capabilities, processes, solutions, and ways of working to create a One McDonald’s Way of Marketing. This role presents an exceptional career opportunity to be the Lead for the Advertising Technology solutions.
Responsibilities
Serve as the Product Owner and strategic lead for core AdTech platforms, governing the roadmap to drive capability enhancements, data consistency, and scalable architecture aligned to enterprise standards

Partner closely with McDonald’s Marketing, Media, Consumer Engagement, IT, Data & Analytics, Finance, Legal, and regional stakeholders to understand business objectives, customer needs, and regulatory requirements, translating them into prioritized platform capabilities

Collaborate and manage McDonald’s Marketing agencies to drive ad tech capability and optimizations

Translate marketing and business requirements into clear technical and functional specifications, ensuring seamless integration across the AdTech ecosystem

Own and manage the AdTech product lifecycle, including roadmap definition, backlog prioritization, vendor coordination, release planning, and value realization based on business impact, risk, and resource constraints

Lead the operating model development, deployment and adoption of new AdTech capabilities, ensuring effective change management, user enablement, and measurable improvements in marketing effectiveness, efficiency, and personalization

Conduct regular platform and capability reviews to assess performance, scalability, data quality, and alignment with evolving marketing, customer experience, and privacy requirements

Oversee platform upgrades, patches, integrations, and regression testing in partnership with enterprise technology teams and external vendors

Contribute to the development of governance standards for data quality, platform usage, and compliance (e.g., privacy, security) across the AdTech landscape

Develop financial models for cost recovery that can scale and be easily adopted across markets

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

7+ years of relevant experience in Marketing Technology, Media Operations Technology, Digital Platforms, or Marketing Operations, including ownership of enterprise-scale platforms (e.g., CRM, CDP, marketing automation, DAM, analytics). Direct and hands-on experience with marketing technologies related to media strategy, buying and activation preferred

5+ years of experience leading teams, including external agency partners and complex portfolios, and delivering multi-workstream initiatives in a matrixed, global environment

Demonstrated ability to gather and synthesize stakeholder requirements and translate them into scalable, technology-enabled marketing solutions

Proven experience influencing senior leadership and driving alignment across marketing, technology, data, and business partners

Strong understanding of modern Martech/Adtech architectures, data flows, integration patterns, and vendor ecosystems

Strong foundation in: Marketing Technology Strategy, Product Management, Systems & Platform Optimization, Data & Analytics Enablement, Executive Communication, Stakeholder Management, and Program / Project Leadership

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this role is $178,121 - $222,651 per year. The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. In determining pay, we may consider experience and other job-related factors.
