Supervisory Public Affairs Specialist

Location: Region One, External Affairs.
The essential duties of this position require an ideal candidate to possess proven leadership skills in leading teams and coordinating outreach efforts across diverse stakeholder groups—including congressional, tribal, federal, state, and local officials, media, and private sector organizations.
Qualifications

Current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service.
To qualify for this position at the GS‑15 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS‑14 level in the Federal government. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, state or local government, or private sector.
Experience must demonstrate the following:

Leading a team to accomplish outreach and communications objectives.
Advising senior leadership, managing sensitive issues, and leading stakeholder engagements.
Serving as the primary liaison and spokesperson with key stakeholders such as state, tribal, congressional, and intergovernmental officials; media outlets; and private sector organizations.
Developing and implementing communications plans, procedures, and programs for consistent agency and regional messaging.
