Hours: Approx 30-35 hours per week, with consistent social media posting daily.
Location: Hybrid (partly remote with in-person meetings and filming in Los Angeles).
Compensation: $35-40 an hour commensurate with experience.
This role will support:
The day-to-day creation and execution of digital content for both the Founder’s personal and her company/projects’ accounts across various platforms as they evolve — including generating and co-creating posts and reels, co-drafting short written pieces for substack and other platforms, drafting captions, filming video content, capturing behind-the-scenes moments, editing as needed, and adhering to any brand protocols and style guides as needed.
Development and maintenance of both the Founder’s and the company/projects’ websites, marketing content, newsletters, and other related digital marketing strategies for audience engagement and the driving of sales and brand growth.
The ideal candidate is creative, organized, efficient, proactive, a problem‑solving team player, able to delegate as needed, and thrives in a mission‑driven, startup environment.
Responsibilities

Draft and post content across Instagram, TikTok, Threads, LinkedIn, Substack, and other platforms if needed.
Have the ability to both anticipate/plan for content needs in advance and execute in real time with efficiency and quick turnarounds as needed.
Co-create strategies with Founder and team for using existing archives (video, stills, etc.) to generate both evergreen and topical assets across platforms (pop cultural, political, etc.)
Manage and grow each account’s engagement across platforms, including staying up to date on guidelines and troubleshooting issues such as content suppression and account suppression/disabling due to political content.
Create various graphics and visuals using Canva (or similar tools).
Pitch and co-create content with the Founder, internal team, and external partners.
Edit short videos/reels for posting (CapCut, iMovie, etc.).
Write engaging captions aligned with each account’s voice and mission.
Film behind-the-scenes content, rehearsals, and event coverage as needed.
Co-generate with team/ track posting schedules and ensure deadlines are met.
Support digital promotion of tours, performances, and events.
Cultivate growth through consistent (daily) strategic engagement with each account’s community members (e.g. interacting with posts and stories, resharing content, etc.).
Work with overall team to drive existing relationships with other aligned creators and cultivate new relationships, collab opportunities, etc.
Pull basic analytics (views, likes, shares) for reports as needed.
Create a content calendar for Founder, production company, and projects such as podcast and live tour.
Grow and manage Substack, LinkedIn, newsletter contact lists, and other digital networking tools.
Assist in sourcing and managing talent as needed for special/evolving projects.
Coordinate and execute posting to platforms, as needed.
Qualifications

4+ years of experience in social media/related content creation and digital marketing.
Proficiency with Canva and/or other design tools and website development and maintenance.
Video editing skills for reels/short-form content and other digital marketing purposes.
Ability to film content on iPhone/DSLR and capture quality video/audio.
Excellent copywriting skills, attention to tone and detail, and ability to match voice and POV of various projects/platforms as needed.
Strong ability to navigate updates and changes to platforms and analytics to keep accounts and content evolving as needed and maximize reach.
Highly organized, dependable, deadline-oriented, and proactive.
Comfortable in a small-team, mission-driven, startup environment.
