Summary
Position: Audiovisual Production Specialist (GS‑12, Step 1–10). Location: Big Bend Sector, Law Enforcement Operational Programs, Strategic Command, Marfa, TX. Compensated with a base salary of $89,508 to $116,362, plus locality and possible special pay.

Duties
Provide program oversight and technical support for all facets of media production, including audio, video, photography, graphic design, and related operations. Key tasks include:

Act as authoritative technical advisor to production specialists.

Assist in script preparation, electronic graphic creation, and video editing.

Maintain database of imagery for distribution.

Provide training and support to sector staff on audio/visual equipment and social media production.

Complete supervisor‑assigned duties.

Requirements
To be eligible, applicants must:

Be a U.S. citizen.

Male applicants born after 12/31/1959 must be registered with Selective Service.

Have lived in the United States for at least three of the last five years.

Pass a background investigation and a drug test in accordance with the DHS Drug‑Free Workplace Plan.

Have English proficiency for all pre‑employment processes.

Undergo U.S. E‑Verify during hiring.

This is a bargaining‑unit covered position, represented by the National Border Patrol Council.

Qualifications
Experience: At least one year of specialized experience at the GS‑11 level or equivalent, involving:

Consulting with clients on project objectives.

Directing video productions, including set design, lighting, camera operation, and editing.

Preparing graphics and support for productions.

Education: A degree that meets or exceeds the general requirements for a GS‑12 position is preferred; see qualification section for details.
