Position Title:

High School Musical Technical Director (PRHS)

Location: Pine-Richland High School

Stipend: $3,381.00

SUMMARY :
To direct and coordinate the construction have a set or sets for high school musical; and the disassembling and storage of set6s for future use.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Other duties may be assigned.

Design a set or sets to enhance the overall production.
Make arrangements for the use of school facilities for construction of sets.
Recruit students and volunteers to assist with the production of the sets.
Oversee the selection and purchase of materials and supplies from the musical budget.
Coordinate set construction.
Supervise the cleaning, storing and caring of all equipment and supplies.
Supervise students during set construction.
Maintain student discipline in accordance with the student Code of Conduct.
Oversee the closing of the set construction account.
Prepare and submit end-of-show summary to the Musical Director.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Supervises students participating in this program. Directs activities of any program volunteers.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

Experience in or knowledge of stage set construction is desirable. Current criminal record and child abuse clearances required.

The sponsor must respect student and family rights to privacy and agree not to publicly share in a negative manner detail of a student's academic abilities or performance in this activity.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as rules, operating or procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of students, their parents or employees of the district. Ability to communicate in a positive way with members of the media.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS :

Ability to guide appropriate record keeping of student accounts related to program.

COMPUTER SKILLS :

Basic computer skills in word processing and database are helpful.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES :

Exhibit qualities of leadership and organizational ability and reflect a spirit of cooperation in working with staff and school administration. Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in specific field. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both in oral and written form. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk and stand. Occasionally the employee will sit and may run. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the trunk while performing the duties of this job. The employee may also frequently squat, stoop kneel reach above the head, reach forward and repeat the same hand motion many times while performing the duties of the job. Moderate lifting of equipment weighing between 10-50 pounds may be necessary.

The specific vision requirements of the job include good depth perception and occasionally being able to see objects/persons at a distance. While performing the duties of the job the employee frequently is required to hear conversation in a quiet as well as a noisy environment and be able to tell where a sound is coming from. The employee must be able to communicate to the students in order to give directions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will continuously work inside or outside depending on the event. Occasionally the employee must be able to meet deadlines with severe time constraints and interact with public and other workers. The employee has direct responsibility for the safety, and well being of the students. The noise level will vary from quiet to loud.
