Volunteer Event Photographer: Capture Atmosphere Respectfully

About Us

Our Safe Space is a volunteer-run nonprofit creating welcoming, judgment-free spaces for growth, connection, and resilience. Through free workshops and community programs, we help people feel seen, supported, and empowered.
The Role

We’re looking for a creative and thoughtful volunteer to help capture the essence of our events—without compromising the privacy and comfort of our participants.
This is not traditional event photography. Our community is built on trust, so all content must be captured discreetly and respectfully, with no identifiable faces.
What You’ll Do

Attend in-person events
Capture photos and short video clips that reflect the feel of the event (hands, group shots from behind, materials, atmosphere, etc.)
Edit content into short, engaging clips for:
Social media (Instagram, Facebook)
YouTube

Work with our team to highlight key moments and themes
What We’re Looking For

Experience with photography and/or video (phone or camera is fine)
Basic editing skills (Canva, CapCut, iMovie, etc.)
Strong sense of discretion and respect for privacy
Ability to capture emotion and atmosphere without focusing on individuals
Reliable and able to attend local Tucson events
