IST Management is seeking a dependable and service-oriented Workplace Experience - Light Facilities Coordinator to support a premier corporate client in Columbia, Maryland. This position plays a key role in maintaining a professional workplace environment through facilities support, office services, conference room operations, mail and package services, inventory management, workplace projects, and light maintenance activities.

The ideal candidate is hands‑on, customer‑focused, and enjoys working in a dynamic office environment where no two days are the same. This role is well‑suited for someone with facilities support, workplace services, hospitality, shipping and receiving, or office operations experience.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Workplace & Facilities Support

Support daily workplace services operations throughout the facility

Perform office moves, workstation setups, furniture reconfigurations, and workspace adjustments

Complete workplace service requests and work orders in a timely manner

Assist with workplace inspections and identify facility‑related issues requiring attention

Coordinate with building management and vendors regarding maintenance and service needs

Conference Room & Employee Support

Set up, reset, and break down conference rooms for meetings and events

Support workplace events, employee activities, and special projects

Monitor conference rooms, kitchens, breakrooms, and common areas to ensure workplace standards are maintained

Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, and guests

Assist with workplace experience initiatives and operational support activities

Mail, Shipping & Inventory Management

Receive, sort, track, and deliver mail, packages, and shipments

Support shipping, receiving, courier, and logistics activities

Maintain inventory levels for office supplies, pantry items, and workplace consumables

Maintain accurate records related to inventory, work orders, and operational activities

Assist with departmental reporting and documentation as needed

Light Maintenance & Workplace Projects

Perform minor repairs and non‑licensed maintenance activities

Assemble office furniture and install workplace signage as needed

Make furniture adjustments and workplace modifications to support operational requirements

Replace light bulbs and perform routine workplace upkeep where permitted

Support workplace improvement projects and facility initiatives

Qualifications
Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required

Two or more years of experience in workplace services, facilities support, office services, hospitality, maintenance support, shipping and receiving, or a related field

Experience performing office moves, furniture installations, inventory management, or workplace support activities preferred

Strong customer service and communication skills

Ability to safely operate hand tools and basic maintenance equipment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Teams

Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and time management skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

Experience supporting corporate office environments preferred

Physical Requirements

Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds

Ability to push carts and move office furniture

Ability to climb ladders and safely perform light maintenance activities

Ability to walk, stand, bend, reach, and perform physical workplace support functions throughout the workday
