Hybrid Content Creator/Production Director
Responsible for researching, planning, and creating content for news programming across all platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail and knowledge of AP style
- Creates engaging stories, videos, and imagery for viewers specific to platforms
- Code and direct daily live local newscasts and other live and prerecorded productions using Ross OverDrive and ENPS
- Stream live and prerecorded productions using OBS Studio
- Work closely with News Producers, Photographers, Engineers, and other Directors to enhance our final on‑air product
- Work well in a collaborative team environment; multitask, problem‑solve, and make last‑minute decisions under pressure and tight deadlines
- Be self‑sufficient, managing multiple projects with competing priorities
- Perform other job‑related requests and duties as assigned
Requirements & Skills
- Preferable bachelor’s degree in communications or an equivalent combination of education and work‑related experience
- Basic photography, videography and editing experience
- Experience in news operations and/or production is preferred
- Experience with cross‑platform live streaming is preferred
- Ross OverDrive, ENPS, Adobe Premiere, and OBS experience is a plus
- Excellent communication skills; fluent in English, oral and written
- Available to work all shifts (mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays) and extended hours as assigned
Compensation
$17–$18 per hour, commensurate with experience and skill level. Compensation package will be based on experience.
