Job Overview Location: Kansas City, Missouri. Employment Type: Full‑time, Contract. Start: Immediate through November 13th, with hours tapering off toward November. Compensation: $24‑27 per hour.
This position seeks a detail‑oriented Production Designer to support the development of benefits marketing materials during a peak seasonal surge. The role is hands‑on, production‑only and requires exceptional precision, consistency, and organizational skills to work within established brand templates. This hybrid role requires onsite presence for the first two weeks for onboarding, followed by a schedule of three days onsite and two days remote.
Creative Scope Production execution only: versioning, layouts, and brand compliance. No creative concepting or direct client interaction.
Responsibilities Apply layout adjustments, typographic edits, and formatting fixes to existing materials.
Implement precise color and style changes in strict accordance with established brand guidelines.
Work efficiently within pre‑approved templates for high‑volume brochures, manuals, and informational documents.
Ensure strict version control across all working and final files.
Follow specific naming conventions and accurately upload all deliverables to the designated database.
Manage a high volume of files efficiently during the peak production season (September‑November).
Qualifications 3 to 4 years of experience in publication, print production, or graphic design execution.
Must have access to and work on a personal MacBook.
Strong proficiency in standard design software for print layouts and typography.
Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and receptive to constructive feedback.
Availability for occasional weekend work may be required during peak volume periods.
