About the Role


The Company is in search of a Vice President of Design to spearhead the creative vision and strategic design direction for its priority private label apparel customer and brand. This executive leadership role is pivotal in overseeing the development of innovative, trend-driven products across various apparel categories, with a strong focus on high fashion for constant elevation brands. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the overall creative vision, driving seasonal product direction, and serving as the executive design partner to the customer. A key aspect of the role is to identify and translate emerging fashion, consumer, and marketplace trends into commercially successful product assortments, while championing innovation in design elements. The Vice President will also be tasked with leading a high-performing design organization, fostering creativity, and ensuring the delivery of design excellence and product quality.

Applicants for the Vice President of Design position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in fashion design or a related field, with at least 15 years of progressive apparel design experience, including senior leadership within private label apparel. The role requires a proven track record in leading design organizations that support major national retail customers, as well as extensive experience across multiple apparel categories, particularly in denim, sweaters, and elevated fashion. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of apparel product development, sourcing, and manufacturing, and demonstrate the ability to build executive-level customer relationships. Exceptional creative vision, commercial awareness, and business acumen are essential, along with excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. The role also demands the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment and the flexibility to travel as needed.
