Summary
Experience Planners are the dream‑weavers. Our team takes all of the hopes and desires for an incredible vacation and brings them to life before guests even step one foot on the grounds of the resort. You’ll experience and understand all of the activities and dining that the resort has to offer and then share these incredible experiences with the guests that you speak with on a day‑to‑day basis. You’ll connect with guests and understand what makes the ultimate vacation for them and the people they’re traveling with – whether it is a couple, a family, or a group – and help them envision their dream getaway.
Responsibilities
- Act as a storyteller and educator to describe the resort to guests.
- Reserve activity and dining requests for guests within the resort and local area.
- Answer telephone calls and emails in a prescribed and professional manner.
- Provide information and assistance to guests regarding specific resort and activity information prior to arrival.
- Properly log guest requests and follow up with guests in a timely manner.
- Display effective computer literacy using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Multi‑task effectively between phone, computer, and conversation with guests while maintaining high attention to detail.
- Maintain a positive and upbeat attitude at all times in a high‑paced environment.
- Work in a high‑paced environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in customer service.
- Excellent telephone etiquette, verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Sales background preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Must possess a positive attitude and be willing to participate in a learning environment.
- Must integrate company values throughout all interactions.
- Must be able to quickly and effectively adapt to using new software products.
- Dependable and available to work within the hotel on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands.
Physical Requirements
Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. This position requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
