Responsibilities
Position summary: manage overall sales activities, book travel for face-to-face client sales meetings, and coordinate with Regional Sales Representatives within the assigned region.
Implement and achieve the strategies and goals set forth by the VP of Business Development.
Build, develop, and maintain a client base for Community Banks and Credit Unions within the assigned region.
Prospect each sales pipeline for correlating internal sales team members and focus on key relationships within those accounts.
Call on senior management and key decision makers in community banks and credit unions.
Protect, secure, and properly handle all confidential data; prevent unauthorized access, improper transmission, and/or disclosure.
Act as the primary sales leader and tactical planner for the regional team; adapt regional strategies in collaboration with Sales management.
Follow through on incoming sales leads, service, and product delivery in coordination with assigned Regional Sales Representatives.
Develop regional sales plans and lead regional sales team members within the assigned region; provide mentoring and basic supervisory functions.
Assist Sales management with associate performance reviews, coaching, mentoring, and development.
Collaborate with other Sales team members to sell RPS Ascensus products and services; coordinate general staff coverage and time-off scheduling.
Maintain awareness of all markets; gather information about competition and utilize it in the sales process.
Support other sales staff in other regions when necessary.
Travel required: 50%–60%.
Meet minimum client and prospect contact activity targets.
Read and evaluate market information (annual reports, news articles, market publications, etc.).
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Experience, Skills, Knowledge
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent sales experience.
2–4 years of outside sales experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent analytical and problem-resolution skills.
Strong presentation and closing skills.
Computer experience in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Customer service oriented; goal-driven and career-minded; team player with a strong client-service focus.
Ability to work well under pressure with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Judgment to handle issues that could affect the company financially or in client relations.
