STORY is hiring: Post Producer in San Francisco

We're a San Francisco creative studio working with the most ambitious technology teams on the planet, telling their stories through brand films, product videos, documentary, and animation. We're building the defining agency for deep tech and science.

The Role
We're hiring a Post Producer to run the pipeline that turns raw footage into finished, delivered work. You'll sit between editors, directors, and clients — scheduling cuts, managing revisions, tracking deliverables, and making sure nothing slips between assembly and final delivery. It's a high-ownership operational role for someone who thrives on keeping a lot of moving parts on time and on spec.

What You'll Do

Schedule and track every project moving through post, from assembly cut to final delivery.

Coordinate revision rounds between editors, directors, and clients — managing notes and timelines.

Own delivery specs and QC — making sure final files meet client and platform requirements.

Manage media, project files, and archiving across Frame.io and internal storage.

Flag bottlenecks and resourcing conflicts before they become deadline problems.

Interface directly with clients on scheduling and delivery, alongside producers.

Comfort with post-production tools and file management at scale (Frame.io, DaVinci Resolve project structures, shared drives).

Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership.

Requirements

Prior experience in post-production coordination, production management, or a similar operational role at a studio, agency, or production company.

Familiarity with editorial workflows, codecs, and delivery formats.

Based in the SF Bay Area or willing to relocate.

Details & Compensation

Salary: $85,000–$115,000 depending on experience
